WOODLAND TRAIL
The Woodland Trail offers visitors a rare opportunity to explore Cayman’s natural forest, much of which is otherwise difficult to access. This scenic, looped trail is just under one mile long and begins behind the Visitor Centre and can be comfortably walked an alternative entrance is through the Palm Walk.
Winding through diverse habitats, the trail passes swampy and dry areas, as well as sections with towering native trees like Mahogany (Swietenia mahagoni). Along the way, you may encounter unique and rare species, including the Silver Thatch Palm (Coccothrinax proctorii ), and Old George (Hohenbergia caymanensis)
Spanning approximately 40 acres, this area contains over half of Cayman’s native plant species, making it a truly immersive nature experience.
