LAKESIDE
Originally a natural Buttonwood wetland, this area was transformed into a scenic three-acre lake that now supports a rich diversity of birdlife, native flora and fauna, and valuable wetland habitat, while enhancing the neighbouring Colour Garden.
The lake changes with the seasons, filling during rainy periods and receding in drier months. As development has increased across the island, the wetland has become an increasingly important refuge for wildlife, providing habitat for birds, plants, aquatic species, and other native fauna. Today, it remains a popular location for birdwatching, nature appreciation, and photography.
